Marine Xylanase Production

Marine xylanase is an enzyme derived from marine organisms, such as bacteria or fungi, that has the ability to degrade xylan. Xylan is a complex polysaccharide found in plant cell walls, particularly in materials like wood, agricultural residues, and marine biomass. Marine xylanases are promising biocatalysts. Marine xylanase enzymes are capable of breaking down the bonds within xylan molecules, resulting in the release of smaller sugar molecules, mainly xylose.  Since they are produced by microorganisms that grow under various environmental conditions, these enzymes may be active in different pH, temperature and salt concentration ranges. These properties are important for their successful application in various industrial processes, such as bioethanol, bleaching of paper and pulp, and the food and feed industry. CD BioSciences specializes in the design of reagent-grade and industrial-grade enzymes for analytical chemistry purposes, but we are always open to new ideas, projects and collaborations. Our custom enzyme development service delivers xylanases using cutting-edge recombinant protein technology.
