Oligochitosan Fertilizer Production

Oligochitosan is an animal cellulose, and a small molecule oligosaccharide with amino groups made from shrimp and crab shells. After oligochitosan is applied to the soil, a large number of beneficial bacteria such as actinomycetes can be cultivated in a short period of time. At the same time, it can inhibit harmful bacteria such as Pythium, Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium oxysporum, mold, and Fusarium. Therefore, it can promote the meristem of root cells, make capillary roots increase rapidly, reduce the appearance of dead roots and rotten roots, and promote the development of root system. Similarly, oligochitosan can guide crops to produce a chitinase that decomposes and absorbs chitin in nematode eggshells, dissolving nematode body walls and eggshells, leading to the death of nematodes and eggs. Regular use on crops in the early stage can keep the amount of chitinase at a high level for a long time to achieve the purpose of controlling nematodes. Therefore, when nematode damage occurs in the growing or fruiting period of crops, it is the best choice to treat it as root irrigation.

Our Methods of Oligochitosan Production

At present, oligochitosan are mainly prepared by chemical methods, physical methods, and enzymatic hydrolysis methods, but our team recommends enzymatic degradation of chitosan, which is more in line with green production and reduces product pollution. Enzymatic hydrolysis is the most commonly used method in the industrial production of chitosan oligosaccharide due to its mild conditions, environmental friendliness and good safety.
