Seaweed Extract

Seaweed extracts are derived from marine plants such as Ascophyllum nodosum, Kelp and brown algae such as Fucus. The harvested seaweed is rinsed to remove brine and then composted or fermented in water until the organic matter breaks down into a slurry. The liquid collected from the slurry is sold as liquid fertilizer. This paste can be turned into flake form for extended shelf life. Seaweed extracts are used in horticulture, sustainable and commercial farming to promote plant health, improve soil health and increase crop yields.
